Life hasn’t turned out quite as Jerry Lukowski had hoped. With the steelworks long gone and jobs few and far between, he and his friends are struggling to keep their heads above water. Money is tight, and for Jerry the prospect of losing contact with his beloved son is becoming all too real.

Then, Jerry comes up with a plan that is either brilliantly ambitious or spectacularly foolish. Together with his reluctant best friend Dave and a collection of equally unlikely recruits, he decides to put on a show that promises something no audience has ever seen before.

However, persuading six ordinary men to perform in front of a packed theatre proves to be far more challenging than Jerry ever imagined!
